The heavyweight title fight will take place on December 21st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WBA, WBC, WBO and IBO champion Ukrainian Alexander Usik will defend his belts in a fight against former unified world champion Tyson Fury.

Perhaps we can say that this is the biggest revenge in the career of Alexander Usik. Even taking into account the presence of Anthony Joshua in the Ukrainian’s career. And one of the most important in Tyson Fury’s career. How will it end?

First fight – Usik’s victory thanks to a knockdown

The first fight, which took place in the spring of 2024, took a lot of emotions from all spectators. The initiative passed from hand to hand. At first Usik was in the lead, then Fury not only returned to the fight, but also took a whole series of rounds. He started hitting his opponent, pushing him back and almost knocked him down.

Then Usyk returned. First he evened out the course of the fight, then picked up the pace and knocked down his opponent. It was beautiful. Especially considering that Usyk didn’t let go until the very end and won.

However, the judges saw a close match. Usyk won only thanks to a knockdown. If it weren’t for him, one of the side would have had a draw, and not a minimal victory for Usik. The second one has a minimal victory for Usik. And the third one would still have Tyson Fury’s victory. Which means it would be a draw.

Second fight – Usik is the favorite, but a lot is stacked against him

Usik is considered the favorite by many experts and former champions. He is the bookmakers’ favorite. However, not everything is so smooth.

The organizers ask fans whether everything will be fair. The head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al al-Sheikh, said he would be rooting for Fury. And he did it so many times and in different forms that there is no doubt about his sincerity. He did this, even looking into the eyes of Alexander Usik during one of the promotional videos.

And this cannot but cause anxiety. What will happen if the fight is equal again, but Turki now directly says that he wants a trilogy or a Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight? I don’t want to doubt the honesty of the judges, but it’s worth looking reality in the eye – this is all quite dangerous.

Knockout probability for both sides

Knockout doesn’t look like option number one. Moreover, for both sides. Tyson Fury can catch with one punch. But Usik also showed that he was strong enough to shake the Briton. Therefore, there is danger for both.

But is this the basis for both boxers? Plan number one? It doesn’t look like it.

Fury may try to knock out Usyk, as he did with Deontay Wilder in the rematch. But will this give results? What if he runs into an opponent and gets beaten? What if he loses strength and suffers because of this in the second half of the match?

You have to approach it wisely, and that’s what you should expect from a rematch.

Early victory by knockout

Knockout performed by Usik? GGBET predicts an early victory for the champion with odds of 3.5. The fight promises to be spectacular, so keep it up boxing line on GGBET!

It can start actively. Usyk didn’t waste a minute in the first fight and immediately got down to business. It was thanks to this that he took the first two rounds. And maybe more.

However, you shouldn’t expect games from Fury either. Tyson promised seriousness and concentration – we will get it. He will try not to give his opponent minutes or entire rounds.

Fury can really hold Usik and box him. How long, how effective and whether you have enough strength for the entire fight – the ring will show.

Usyk will also need to withstand the pressure of his opponent and the pace required for an early victory. You will have to stop your opponent a lot and, perhaps, fight in the clinch for at least some period at the beginning of the meeting.

However, it is unlikely that the fight will end quickly. It doesn’t really look like the fight could end before the sixth round. Anything can happen, including knockouts in the early rounds. But nothing indicates this in advance.

But you can count on the fact that the fight will last more than 8 rounds (odds 1.33). Or maybe it will reach the championship level – more than 9.5 (odds 1.44). You can also try the position “the fight will go through all the established rounds” for odds of 1.70.
