Man of 75 million sidetracked at PSG – Voetbal International

Randal Kolo Muani (26) has ended up sidetracked at Paris Saint-Germain. The striker – for whom around 75 million euros was paid a year and a half ago – is left out of the selection for the second game in a row by his trainer Luis Enrique.

PSG will take on AS Monaco on Wednesday evening. Another important match, but just like on Sunday against Olympique Lyon, Luis Enrique does not need Kolo Muani. The attacker came with great expectations in mid-2023 for 75 million euros (which could rise to 90 million through bonuses) from Eintracht Frankfurt. This season he has gotten sidetracked.

Of the 21 games that PSG played, Kolo Muani only started twice and came on as a substitute twelve times. Meanwhile, Luis Enrique no longer even considers his performances sufficient for a place in the match selection. A painful situation for the French international, who therefore seems to be on his way to the exit at PSG. He has already been linked with Manchester United and RB Leipzig.

Luis Enrique feels little need to explain the passing of Kolo Muani. “I could explain it, but I won’t, because the decisions seem very clear to me,” he told the press conference. ‘Situations can always change. Even when players make mistakes, everything can still turn around completely. But I won’t go into specific situations. I prefer to be criticized then.’
