CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Juventus drew with Aston Villa after a lackluster game with both sides settling for a goalless draw.
There was no winner in the game between Juventus and Aston Villa for the 5th matchday of the League Phase of the Champions League. After a game with few phases and a low tempo, the two teams shared the point of the draw and are focusing on their next game.
The match
The match started without a particular rhythm. The “Old Lady” mostly had the ball in its possession, but the hosts were the ones who looked more threatening.
Villa came a breath away from opening the scoring, but Digne’s direct free-kick just a few yards out didn’t hit the net, but the crossbar.
The continuation of the match did not reserve more emotions. Both teams in the second half attempted to create the right conditions to score, but the game was very evenly matched, with both sides canceling each other out.
The situation did not change until the end of the match and the teams reasonably shared the point of the draw.
