Lucia Bronzetti put the winner of 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2013 ahead by beating Viktoria Hruncáková 6-2, 6-4. Bronzetti won four games in a row from 2-3 in the first set and did so again in set two from 2-4.
Jasmine Paolini gave Italy the cup by beating Rebecca Sramková 6-2, 6-1. The losing finalist of Roland Garros and Wimbledon only lost one game from 2-2.
