The veteran forward, who has played successively for Zalgiris, Armani Milano, Baltai, Siena, Panathinaikos, Real Madrid, Lokomotiv Kuban and AEK, replaces Martinas Pourlis, at a time when the team from Panevezys is in the process of major changes to its organizational chart.
