These are the possible opponents of the Dutch team in the Final Eight – Voetbal International

All participants of the quarter-finals of the Nations League have been announced. The Dutch national team already qualified on Saturday. A day later it became clear that Ronald Koeman’s team would compete against France, Portugal or Spain.

Although Germany also starts the draw in Pot 1, the Netherlands cannot be linked to Julian Nagelsmann’s formation in the quarter-finals. Countries that played against each other in the group stage will be excluded from each other for the draw for the next round.

Pot 1 was already filled before Monday evening. The only decisions that still had to be made were the last two places in Pot 2. Croatia took a point against Portugal, thus grabbing one of the two tickets to be awarded. Because Denmark did not lose to Serbia, they grabbed the last spot in the last eight.

The quarter-finals of the Nations League are scheduled for March 2025, with the Final Four scheduled for a few months later in June. These are, other than the quarter-finals, single matches. The victory over Hungary not only reached the Final Eight, the Dutch team also became group leader in the draw for the World Cup qualifying cycle.
