International Kaagman returns after pregnancy and exchanges PSV for Ajax

Inessa Kaagman (28) returns to Ajax. The 28-year-old player signs a contract until the summer of 2025 in Amsterdam.

The twelve-time international makes the switch from PSV. Kaagman has not played since September last year due to a pregnancy. The transfer-free player had been training with Ajax for some time.

Midfielder Kaagman also played for Ajax between 2013 and 2018, where she scored 25 goals in 122 games. She then moved to Brighton & Hove Albion and in 2022 Kaagman ended up at PSV.

“We have facilitated Inessa in recent months because she showed the determination to return to the highest level after her pregnancy,” said Daphne Koster, women’s football manager at Ajax.

“During her rehabilitation period, she reaffirmed her potential and drive. She is a very creative player with a lot of experience and is a valuable addition to the team.”
